Meet Angela
Angela Levy School Portrait Photography began as a labor of love for me. I originally started my photography journey photographing newborns which I still I still love to do to this day! As my business continued to grow, I quickly realized I was growing alongside the families that I photographed capturing many important milestones over the years. I eventually was photographing children and family sessions as often as I was newborn, and the big shocker was when I was asked to capture High School Senior portraits for some of these same newborns. Ouch! I’m getting older and the hair is getting grayer. . .and WOW. . .how amazing is my career that I have watched these babies grow into amazing young adults. I was honored to be there to document each precious moment for the family to cherish for years to come.
As a mother of two growing teenage boys myself, I understand the importance of capturing the fleeting moments of childhood that always seems to be gone too soon. As a parent who has received numerous school portraits of my own children, I developed an appreciation for the art of school portraits. I admired the way the portraits captured their growth and development, and all the sweet (and often cheesy), toothless smiles that came with them. Each year was a surprise expression that I will treasure forever and value the keepsake of that time in their childhood.
Although school photography wasn’t in the original business plan, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity when it came knocking. I was excited to embrace the opportunity to fuse my expertise in children and family photography with my newfound admiration for school portraits.
My passion has since led me to expand even beyond traditional fall and spring school photos into taking photos for preschools, graduations, first communions, school dances, and even school fundraisers. To a parent of growing children, each milestone carries memories and experiences that should be captured and treasured forever. Being part of capturing those moments has been such a privilege.
